CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
OPERATION OF INTEGRATED COLD STORES AND CENTRALIZED PACK HOUSE

The department of Agricultural Marketing & Cooperatives (DAMC), under the Ministry of Agriculture & Forests, with fund support from the Food Security and Agriculture Productivity Project (FSAPP) is pleased to announce the construction of Integrated Cold Stores (ICS) with Centralized Pack House at Dagana & Samtse.
The ICS and CPH are part of our initiative to improve agri value chain through critical infrastructure development in the region. These critical facilities are designed to store agricultural produce, ensuring their freshness and quality. We anticipate the completion of these structures by end of Feb 2024.

The department would like to invite proposals from interested parties, including Farmers Groups, Cooperatives, and private individuals, to operate the integrated cold stores with Centralized Pack House. The contract agreement for this endeavor will be in the form of a concession agreement. A concession agreement is a contractual arrangement in which one party grants the other the rights to operate a particular business or facility for a specified duration under specified conditions.

Location of Integrated Cold Stores and Centralized Pack House:
• Dagana: 120 Metric Tons (MT) capacity
• Samtse: 180 Metric Tons (MT) capacity
Expected Completion Date: End of February 2024

Interested parties are encouraged to carefully review the working modality of the cold stores and pack house, which can be downloaded from our official website (www.damc.gov.bt). Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines provided in the working modality document.

This call for expression of interest is subject to change or cancellation at the discretion of the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives. We reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the concession agreement as necessary.
