According to the Integrated Agriculture and Livestock Census (IALC) 2023, Bhutan’s total Potato
production for the year amounted to 37,749 MT. Of this, four western and one central Dzongkhag
together produced 23,973.01 MT accounting for approximately 64.76% of the national Potato
production in 2023. Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag recorded the highest yield, producing
12,819.06 MT, followed by Chhukha Dzongkhag, which contributed 3,756.98 MT.
