Capacity Building on Supply Chain Development in Agri-Food Sector
To support the transformation of Bhutan’s agrifood sector, DAMC, in collaboration with FAO Bhutan, conducted a five-day training on agrifood supply chain development from 21–25 July 2025 in Trongsa. The training, supported by the EU-funded Technical Assistance on Agrifood Systems (EU-TAAS), was attended by 30 participants including agrifood entrepreneurs, farmer groups, cooperatives, and Economic Development and Marketing Officers (EDMOs).
The training aimed to enhance market access by developing market-led agrifood supply chains. Participants gained valuable insights into value chain development, post-harvest management and handling, certification and standards, business analysis, market strategies, branding, and strategic partnerships.
