EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) TO PARTICIPATE IN BUYER’S CONSULTATIVE MEETING

The Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives (DAMC), with the fund support from the Food Security and Agriculture Productivity Program (FSAPP), is pleased to announce a series of significant events designed to foster productive engagement within the agricultural sector to strengthen connections between buyers and sellers of agricultural commodities. The details of the events are as follows:

In preparation for the main Buyer-Seller Meetings, DAMC is organizing Consultative Meetings with buyers at three key locations: Gelephu, Phuntsholing, and Thimphu. These preliminary gatherings are essential to understanding the specific needs and preferences of buyers. This understanding will enable us to effectively connect buyers with potential sellers from the Project Dzongkhags—Samtse, Haa, Paro, Chhukha, and
Samtse for which the selection of potential sellers will be carried out by the respective Dzongkhags following thorough consultation within their regions.

For the selection of buyers, DAMC extends a warm invitation through this EOI to all stakeholders, including Exporters, Aggregators, Wholesalers, and Private individuals, to actively participate in the upcoming Consultative Meetings. The participation of the buyers is critical in shaping the future of agricultural marketing and forging valuable partnerships within the industry. The main purpose of the buyer’s consultative meetings are to:

• Present the Buyer-Seller Interaction Framework
• Facilitate discussions on Buyer Requirements and Preferences
• Provide insights into Agricultural Commodities from FSAPP Project Dzongkhags  Highlight opportunities for Aggregators, Wholesalers, and Private Individuals
• Foster networking and interaction among participants
