The Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock would like to invite interested Bhutanese Farmers’ Group, Cooperatives and Entrepreneurs to take over the operation of a cereal processing plant based at Lingmithang, Mongar. The details of the structures/facilities are provided below:

| 1 | Processing Plant Structure | Single storey concrete building with dimension of 30m x 12.5m (length x width). 9 rooms with provision of office space, connected to electricity, water and accessible to road. |
| 2 | Equipment and machineries with the plant | Mobile grain dryer, corn sheller (2 nos), hot air blowing conical dryer (2 nos), mini maize milling machine, hammering mill, sieving machine, multipurpose flour machine and final product (grit/kharang) packaging machine. |
Note:
- Preference shall be given to Farmers Group, Cooperatives and private entrepreneurs with experience in food processing from the six Eastern Dzongkhags of Mongar, Lhuentse, Tashigang, Tashiyangtse, Pemagatshel, and Samdrupjongkhar.
- There will be a nominal lease rate and the cereal processing plant will be leased out for 3 years. The lease tenure may be extended for another term, subject to fulfillment of the set criteria.
The processing plant is ideally suitable for processing of maize and other cereal products. Interested proponent(s) can submit the duly filled-in template in a sealed envelope addressed to Director General, Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock before 11:00 AM, 11th December, 2023 and it will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM.
